INFRASTRUCTURE

With a dedicated strength of 46 members, the Regional Directorate Regional Directorate Office has its permanent establishment at PICUP Bhawan, Gomtinagar, Lucknow. The office setup comprises two floors, each admeasuring appx 1200 sqm area and possessed with State of Art Administrative and Laboratory Infrastructure. The Laboratory has achieved NABL Accreditation as per International Standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005 for Chemical and Biological Testing and is in advance stage of obtaining certification for Occupation Health and Safety Management System (OH&SMS) as per IS:18001:2007.

INDUSTRIAL SCENARIO

The North Zone predominantly has Agro based industries which include Sugar, Distillery, Pulp & Paper, Tanneries and their ancillaries. Other major industries include Integrated Aluminum Smelter, Chlore alkali plant, Fertilizer, Cement and Stone Crushers.
