Zonal Office laboratory is accredited as per ISO/IEC-17025:2005 in Chemical and Biological fields.
Three Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Stations and one AAQM station are being operated by Zonal Office, Lucknow.
Under NRCD Programme, River Ganga, Yamuna, Gomti, Tones are monitored twice in a month between Allahabad and Ghazipur stretch for 9 parameters. Under the same programme, Drains discharging their Waste Water into the River at Allahabad and Varanasi and five STPs located at Allahabad, Mirzapur and Varanasi are also monitored monthly.
Five Continuous Ambient Noise Monitoring Stations at Lucknow are installed and operated by UPPCB under supervision of Zonal Office Lucknow.
Water Quality of major Rivers at Inter State boundaries of Northern States are being quarterly monitored
